The Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s Club Announces Its 2015 Major Grant Beneficiary

Mt. Lebanon, August 29, 2014 Mt. Lebanon Junior Women's Club (MLJWC) announced today that the club’s major grant beneficiary will be The Education Partnership. MLJWC will raise money for the Education Partnership that will help approximately 16,000 students in their program get school supplies.

"This is such an honor for our organization. It's especially exciting for me, as I grew up in Mt. Lebanon. It really has special meaning for me that they are supporting The Education Partnership. More importantly, they are helping to provide local students and teachers in low-income neighborhoods with the school and classroom supplies they need.  We are really looking forward to working with the MLJWC,” expressed Justin Brown, Executive Director, The Education Partnership.

To honor the Education Partnership, MLJWC will hold its 18th Annual Charity Gala, “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Education Partnership. The event will take place Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 8:00pm at The Twentieth Century Club at 4201 Bigelow Boulevard, Pittsburgh. Guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, a two-hour premium bar, silent auctions, raffles, live jazz, dance music and songs from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Black tie attire is optional; vintage inspired glamour from the age of Art Deco is encouraged. The decorations team, along with the remainder of our committees, plan to whisk our guests away into a glamorous and fanciful event this year.

“The Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s club is honored to work with The Education Partnership this year.  We are motivated to make this year’s event a success and assist in raising funds for underserved children and schools in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Bright futures start in the classroom and with the right support, kids can do amazing things,” shared Nadeana Cook, President, MLJWC.

The benefit co-chairs are Tiffany Duffy and Becky Meckstroth. This year's MLJWC Board is:

Nadeana Cook – President
