Mount Lebanon Junior Women's Club (MLJWC) was founded in 1968 by ten civic-minded women,
and our goal is to continue their legacy of giving back to our community through civic,
philanthropic, and social activities. We focus our efforts on supporting organizations
that improve the lives of women and children.
MLJWC is a dynamic group of women accomplished in
career, family, and community involvement
and includes about 80 members each year. Membership in
MLJWC is open to women living in Mount Lebanon and surrounding
communities
whose interests are consistent with the purpose of our
organization.
MLJWC offers dozens of committees and activities that are open to all members, including
Book Club, Power Lunch or Gourmet Lunch, Community Outreach, and Tennis. Over the past
43 years, MLJWC has donated more than $500,000 to local charities and organizations
through our various fundraising efforts. This year we are also pleased to present A
Fare to Remember, a cookbook compiled by MLJWC to celebrate our 40th anniversary,
with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank
