2009 Grant Proposal Procedure
Background:
Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s Club (MLJWC) is a civic,
philanthropic, and social organization made up of approximately 100 women from
Each year, a five-member committee chooses recipient(s) to receive grants from the Charitable Fund. Applications are accepted through April 30th of each year. The committee then reviews all applications and chooses which organization(s) will receive grants the following May. The committee determines the actual amount awarded after the annual benefit.
Requirements:
1. The organization applying for a grant must benefit women
and/or children in
2. The organization applying for a grant must be a non-profit organization.
Application:
The following information is needed to complete a grant application:
1. A description of the organization (mission statement). We wish to understand what the organization is about and are interested in the impact the organization has on the community, your success rates, statistics, and testimonials.
2. How your organization would make use of the following grant amounts: $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000. We do not guarantee the amount of the grant but are interested in the impact that a grant would have on your organization.
3. A statement of need, financial statement, or annual report. We wish to understand your overall budget and the other sources of funding available to your organization. Do you have your own fundraiser and if so, please elaborate on details of the event and how much money is generated.
4. A description of other ways (non- financial) that MLJWC can help your organization, i.e. service projects, non- cash donations, stuffing envelopes, etc.
5. A person to be contacted.
6. Six copies total (Original plus 5 copies) of the above are needed.
